Kent Johnson's Legacy Tip #1

Just as I've done for other products reviewed in CTT, I put the Legacy system into service on my 14 x 48-foot O gauge layout.

In the July issue of CTT, I'm sharing my experiences throughout the entire installation process. Since many layout owners have upgraded to the Legacy system, we'll also bring you additional insights and tips from CTT readers with first-hand experience. Kent Johnson

Craig, we simply had the three command systems plugged in at the same time – Legacy, TMCC, and DCS. A Z-4000 was providing the track power. We thought this was the most direct way to show you could operate each system running trains with their respective command systems at the same time.

The "Installing TMCC module in Legacy" video only speaks of lash ups and not the subject. Guess we have a mis-pointed link maybe? Found the Loading Legacy Modules video was very informative.

Very amazing operation of all three systems! Was DCS your base control? What would be more AMAZING is if you could do Conventional with the other three systems as well!! Is the WARP able to handle the situation or would all be LOST??!!?

In response to Stuart, I use a large knife throw switch when I want to go from conventional to TMCC. Works great and is clear to the user what they are doing.
