This is my 3rd annual Easter Lionel display. The layout is based on a 1960's era Lionel space and military themed display. Most of the items are Lionel Post War with some re-issues in the display. The crown jewel to the 1960's theme is the vintage aluminum pom pom tree used as an Easter egg tree. The tree features a vintage "atomic tree topper". In addition to Easter eggs, the tree is decorated with some classic space themed ornaments. The layout sits on two 24" X 80 Luan doors and was finished with dyed saw dust sprinkled over wet green paint. The layout is powered by a vintage ZW 275 watt transformer.

My first adventure in to O gauge toy trains. Around Christmas I bought a Lionel Polar Express set with a loop of track to put under the Christmas tree. It soon gave me the O gauge bug and I bought additional track, ceramic and porcelain buildings, and figures to make a complete small "North Pole" layout. The layout is made with Lionel FasTrack. All turns are O-36 and the layout is powered with a classic CW-80 watt transformer. The layout sets on an 8 x 8-foot counter top. Just thought I'd show it off. Will be expanding soon and hope to buy some Department 56 and Lemax buildings soon. Enjoy!

SP&S loved their ALCOs and apparently so too did BN as in the merger BN kept most of the C-424s and repainted them green and white. These Atlas O ALCOs SPS engines were a very small production run. It took me 5 years to locate engine #306. A dealer accidentally placed this engine in the WRONG shipping box and labeled it SD40. It stayed on a shelf from 2006 to 2013 as SD40 until the box was opened and guess who purchase #306...a real find on my layout.
