Starting in the next issue of CTT, our staff will help you build your own version of the classic D-146 Lionel display. You'll have fun planning and building the D-146 while getting a taste of what it must have been like to work at Lionel's factory almost 60 years ago or to walk into a department store or toy store then and watch one in action. Senior Editor Roger Carp introduces the project layout in this video.
Check out the links below to find all our online extras to help you create the D-146 layout!

Roger,
Have you ever considered giving the project display away as the Grand Prize in your sweepstakes?

A VERY NICE BEGINNER LAYOUT, MIGHT WANT TO USE IT AND EXPAND ON IT, I HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH ROOM FOR A 16X20 LAYOUT IN A ROOM ABOVE THE GARAGE. VERY EXCELLENT PRESENTATION. MY VERY FIRST LIONEL FREIGHT TRAIN, TRACK AND TRANSFORMER IN 1953 FOR 29.00 DOLLARS WHILE LIVING IN HOKAIDO, JAPAN, CAMP CRAWFORD. AND I AM STILL HOOKED.
